The SIGMAXYZ Group Human Rights Policy is established and disclosed as follows.

Basic Approach to Respect for Human Rights

We have established the SIGMAXYZ Group Human Rights Policy to promote the achievement of an environment in which diverse human assets can demonstrate their abilities with high motivation, grow sustainably, and work on value creation in their own way.
The SIGMAXYZ Group promotes initiatives to respect for human rights in accordance with this Human Rights Policy.

1. Application range

This policy applies to all officers and employees of the SIGMAXYZ Group, and we expect our clients, business partners, and investee companies to respect this policy.

2. Support and respect for international norms

The SIGMAXYZ Group supports international norms on human rights, such as the International Bill of Human Rights and Core Labor Standards, and respects human rights in accordance with the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

3. Compliance with applicable laws and ordinances

The SIGMAXYZ Group complies with the applicable laws and ordinances in each country and region in which it conducts business activities. If there is a conflict between internationally recognized human rights and the laws and ordinances of each country or region, we will seek ways to maximize respect for international human rights principles.

4. Human Rights Agenda

  • Respect for diversity
    We respect diversity, prohibit discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, disease, etc., and do not engage in harassment.
  • Maintenance of the safety and health of employees
    We comply with laws, regulations, and rules concerning safety, health, and working hours, take appropriate measures to address health risks, and maintain and improve our work environment where employees can work safely and healthy.
  • Prohibition of forced labor and child labor in the supply chain
    Recognizing that there is a risk that forced labor may occur in the supply chain, we do not tolerate any form of forced labor, human trafficking, or child labor.

5. Human rights due diligence

Based on the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the SIGMAXYZ Group promotes initiatives to identify, prevent and mitigate negative human rights impacts in its business activities. We also conduct human rights due diligence to fulfill our accountability for these matters.

6. Remedies (correction and complaints handling)

If the business activities of the SIGMAXYZ Group have caused a negative impact on human rights, or if it becomes clear that the business activities of the SIGMAXYZ Group have been involved in such impact, we will work to remedy the impact through appropriate procedures and dialog.

7. Communication

The SIGMAXYZ Group utilizes an independent external expertise on human rights to address potential and actual negative human rights impacts and communicates with relevant stakeholders in good faith.

8. Education and enlightenment

The SIGMAXYZ Group conducts appropriate education and capability development for all officers and employees to ensure that this policy is incorporated into and implemented throughout its business activities, and works to enlighten human rights.

9. Information disclosure

The SIGMAXYZ Group discloses its initiatives to respect human rights based on this policy on its website, etc.

10. Promotion structure and governance

The Sustainability Committee Chair is responsible for respecting human rights, and the Sustainability Committee and Compliance Committee work together to establish a system to fulfill this policy. This system promotes initiatives to respect human rights, monitors progress on a regular basis, and summarizes the status. Initiatives to respect human rights are deliberated at the management meeting, as well as reported to and supervised by the Board of Directors.

This policy has been formulated based on discussions with the Sustainability Committee and the Compliance Committee and the advice from external experts with expertise in human rights.
This policy was signed by the Representative Director and President after approval by the Board of Directors of SIGMAXYZ Holdings Inc. in April 2024.
