SIGMAXYZ is supporting MACNICA HOLDINGS, INC. (hereinafter referred to as "MACNICA") in transforming its IT organization to advance the use of IT and digital technologies through its "Co-CIO services."
MACNICA, which has continued to grow since its founding as Japan's largest technology trading company dealing in semiconductors and cybersecurity, announced its long-term management plan, "Vision 2030," in May 2022, setting the group's next goal as "a service and solutions company that connects skills and knowledge from around the world and continues to create new value."
Against this backdrop, MACNICA has been implementing a series of growth strategies to achieve this goal, including expanding its business through M&A, in the semiconductor market and developing new businesses. MACNICA's IT department is working to build a flexible and highly productive core business platform that will support its transformation into a service solutions company, establish a service development foundation that utilizes digital technology, and develop a highly secure global infrastructure and more.
Starting in July 2021, SIGMAXYZ has been providing "Co-CIO services" to MACNICA's CIO and IT department, providing comprehensive support for MACNICA's IT initiatives. We are supporting MACNICA in efforts such as building an IT governance scheme, which is key to IT and digital technologies, formulating an IT strategy, and sophisticating IT investment and cost management, and are contributing to the achievement of IT organizational transformation aimed at advancing MACNICA's use of IT and digital technologies.
Through these efforts, MACNICA is also developing IT and DX (digital transformation) human resources and transforming its work style. Furthermore, in May 2024, MACNICA was selected as a "Digital Transformation Stock (DX Stock) 2024" jointly by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), and the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA), indicating growing expectations for improving corporate value through the use of IT and digital technologies.
SIGMAXYZ will continue to act as a sherpa to accompany MACNICA to achieve its vision.
