Toyoko Inn Co., Ltd. (Toyoko Inn), a business hotel chain operating more than 360 properties in Japan and overseas, has historically developed and operated its company-wide systems in-house, including its online reservation platform. However, amid accelerating changes in the market environment—such as growing inbound tourism demand, an increasingly severe labor shortage, and frequent regulatory changes—the company began to face limitations in its ability to respond quickly under its traditional in-house development model.

To accelerate business growth, Toyoko Inn decided to transition to a next-generation development model that flexibly incorporates external services and specialized expertise. As the first step in this transformation, the company initiated a full-scale redesign of its online reservation website and official mobile app, with the goals of acquiring new customers and enhancing customer convenience. SIGMAXYZ supported Toyoko Inn throughout this initiative.
 

In this project, we at SIGMAXYZ served as the Project Management Office (PMO), providing end-to-end support from initial concept development through the service launch in June 2025. Working with multiple stakeholders—including vendors responsible for UI/UX design and development—we led the overall project management of this complex initiative. At the same time, we placed strong emphasis on transferring know-how, enabling Toyoko Inn to independently manage similar projects in the future. Our support also extended into hands-on  execution, encompassing requirements definition, coordination of design, development, and operational testing, migration support, and the formulation of training plans for hotel staff. These efforts ensured the smooth rollout and successful adoption of the new system.

Through this initiative, Toyoko Inn has established a next-generation development framework that enables the rapid development and deployment of services in collaboration with external partners.
